Bradbury Mountain State Park is a wonderful place to spend a day or afternoon exploring trails, taking in the magnificent view from the summit, or enjoying a picnic under a canopy of trees. One of the original five state parks, Bradbury Mountain was acquired by the Federal government in 1939.
Situated on Route 9 about halfway between Portland and Lewiston-Auburn, the park attracts visitors who enjoy picnicking, hiking and camping on its 800+ acres of forested land. Bradbury Mountain is the only state park in southern Maine to offer shared-use trails for horseback riders, mountain bikers and snowmobilers. Snow shoe rentals are available.

Please note that the only authorized access to the trails is through the main gate at Bradbury Mountain State Park. The Park fee is not a "parking fee". It is a per person user fee. Parking along Route #9, in the church parking lot, and in other areas to avoid paying the entrance fee is legally considered a theft of services. The park closes at sunset daily.
NOTE: The Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry (Bradbury Mountain) is working to provide planning and direction for our entire trail system. This includes the current development of a trail from the park boundary, across Tryon Mountain, across the CMP corridor to Pineland. We are currently working on the Bradbury to CMP corridor section of trail. Thank you for your patience during this time, and please contact the park if you have any questions. |
